The ecological camp “Think about a better earth for children” is held
Today was held the ecological camp “Think about a better land for children” organized by the children’s group Respect Our Rights – ROR with the support of Save the Children in Kosovo and Syri Vizioni.
During this camp, the children had the opportunity to talk, exchange ideas, express their concerns and suggestions for a better environment with Mr. Liburn Aliu, Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure (MPHI), Mr. Seynur Veshall, Deputy. Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports (MKRS), as well as Mrs. Arineta Mula, Mountaineer.
Within this activity, several focus groups were held where four main topics were discussed such as: recycling, renewable energy, environmental education in our schools, as well as water pollution in Kosovo. At the end of this discussion, they gave suggestions and developed ideas for implementing good environmental practices in our society. Also, the children conducted a workshop where they created postcards with messages, complaints and their requests about the environment for government institutions.
This activity is implemented within the project “Strengthening of Local CSOs 2017-2021”, financed by the Swedish International Cooperation Agency (SIDA), with the support of Save the Children in Sweden.
